Since I started blogging here, on blogspot, all sorts of interesting things happened to me. It’s like I’m more opened to the world than I ever was before, more self conscious and ready to take a stand.

So, enough talking about myself.

I’m here today to tell you the story of how I found Nookie, the owner of Fashion in my eyes .

Once upon a time, when I was searching for outfit of the day photos I came across her blog. I was really impressed to find out that she’s a Romanian girl writing in English and that her passion for fashion is really strong and shows really nice through out her post.

Besides the inspiration and good advices that I can find there what I like the most about her is that she writes constantly and she's doing it fine. Thank God she’s not a lazy and weirdie person like me who writes only when she feels like and after she changed her mind for a million times.

Anyway, she had a contest a week ago, I think, and surprisingly I won.

Today I got in the mail my 2 pairs of false eyelashes from Revlon that she sent me. (Off topic, I’m thinking having an earring giveaway too, any time soon)

One pair is self adhesive for defining and the other one for intensifying has to be glued.

I have never tried false eyelashes before and now I do not know if I have to wait for a special occasion to wear them or just put them on right now. It's hard to be me.

Thank you Nookie for my first pairs of false eyelashes and have a wonderful fall.

Today I wish to welcome here a good friend of mine which has finally made an important decision: to share with the world her passion for photography.

If you love nature in any of its form like candy-puffy flowers, weird trees, playful parrots, strange angles and color palettes, then you definitely have to check out her close-ups and landscape pictures.

Step in the world of Visual Thoughts and Alina will gladly guide you through this journey.

Today I was a crafty babe. I made earrings from tibetan silver and swarovski cristals. They all have sterling silver hooks.
What do you think?

If you don’t mind or can understand French then you shouldn’t miss Moliere (2007).

Jean Baptiste Poquelin, better known as Moliere, is the father and true master of comic satire with more than 30 plays (well known for The misanthrope and Tartuffe) diving into the worlds of political and bourgeois hypocrisy as well as being a very good portrayal of human folly and ridiculosity.

The film is set in 1658 France when the 22 year old Jean Baptiste, hounded by creditors is thrown into jail, released and then imprisoned again. When the jailors let him go, he disappears for several months without a single trace only to reappear and start touring the provinces with his troupe for the next 13 years becoming the triumphant playwright and actor that we know today.

The movie is a fantasy about the period he was away and when he is supposed to be hired by a businessman named Jourdain to teach him the craft of the stage so he could win the cold heart of Celimene, a widow duchess who doesn’t even know he exists.

Jourdain arranges for Molière to stay at his estate disguised as a priest so that his wife, the beautiful Elmire, will not become suspicious. Unfortunately for him, Elmire catches the eye of Moliere and then both Moliere and Elmire fall in love for each other.

Trapped in this untenable situation, Molière will experience all sorts of events that will open his eyes and his mind. It is from the wisdom of this tale and from his passion for Elmire that Molière the great dramatist is born.

I’m not going to revel the ending of the story but I have to say that it’s very touching and it’s here that you fully understand the pain behind Molière’s comedy and you realize that comedy can explore humanity just as deeply as tragedy.

While the film is rather talky and passes as entertainment, it’s also a wonderful, complex and serious romance story with some surprisingly acts.

He sure captured my heart for the entirely 2 hours.

Yesterday, while heading to the post office to pickup my mail packages, I met an old friend of mine. I think 9 years have passed since we saw each other the last time.

We were both two kids that graduated the 8th grade at the same time and were enjoying our summer vacation before leaving town for high school. We were just rollerblading all day long in the park or around our neighborhood when September came along and he went to study piano playing at the Music High School in Bucharest and I went to informatics in Ploiesti. From that summer I never rollerbladed again; I felt that was no fun at all without him around to challenge me.

Now, after 3 years of bachelor at a University in Salzburg, Austria, he is getting his master degree in music while, after my sociology bachelor, I’m getting mine in human resources management at 925 km away, in Brasov. I think his entire work and the sacrifices that he and his family made worthwhile: he became a virtuous, a true artist like he deserves. I hadn’t listened to him playing the piano yet but I’m absolutely sure I’m right. He’s still that sweet kid chasing for his dream even if now he’s trapped in a handsome young man.

In some ways he’s still the boy I know: a little shy, with beautiful hazel eyes hiding behind a pair of glasses, cute smile and delicate gifted hands.

I’m very glad that he approached me on the tram. I was so absorbed in my own thoughts like always that I’ve not noticed him standing at two feet away from me.

We talked a little about our lives, what we are currently doing, were do we live, what plans we have and then we just stood there looking at each other and exchanging words from time to time as a homeless guy got in the tram playing some strange songs with his guitar right next to us.

At that point I was sure he knows all the musical notes played and I was even imagining him playing the piano accompanying that homeless man.Silly me!

We both got off at the same station but before heading in different directions we exchanged facebook addresses.

I hope we get in touch next time he’s coming to our hometown ‘cause is nice seeing a familiar face and remembering funny stories from childhood.

Today I received 2 mail packages from Australia. These are my first prizes that I won at two different giveaways.

The first one is a beautiful silver-gilt (sterling silver with a fine layer of gold) butterfly pendant with a little gemstone which looks like a ruby that Carla from favouritevintagefinds sent me.

The pendant came beautifully wrapped in a pink gift box with a note card from her; so wonderful.

Carla sells vintage clothing and jewelry over e-bay and now is trying to start her own e-boutique.

She’s very kind and friendly and I had good communication during the mailing of my prize. I highly recommend her if you want to purchase something special for you or someone dear.

Thank you Carla for the lovely gift, I’m sure my mom will be delighted.

I could not resist seeing how it looks on me. I'll update this post with a picture of my mom wearing it.

The second prize is a Turquoise Crochet Necklace from Sharon, the owner of Shazzabeth Creations.

This very original necklace is made up of three semi-precious turquoise double drilled stones that are joined by joined by gold cube shaped beads inlaid with blue and gold leaf charms.

The necklace chain is made up of three strands of cord crocheted with a mixture of blue czech fire polished beads and seed beads.

This came in a cute red organza bag.

Sharon has a great etsy shop were you can find some amazing handcrafted items; Shazzabeth is the home of beaded, wirework and chainmaille jewelry.

Thank you Sharon for the beautiful necklace, I can’t wait to show it to the world around me.

Lovely ladies, I hope you have a wonderful day!

This house, these walls and all this paintings with people looking strange at me, and smiling, giggling or whistling, they still my happiness each day. They do not live, they do not die, they are not real, neither am I.

I lost my life long time ago, I lost my youth and all my beauty. I gained an endless walk through time trapped in a castle with no king.

The world moved on, I moved with it. The world has changed, I stayed the same.

I have no locks, no doors, no windows; my house is opened all the time. I’m free to leave each time I want. I won’t get far though, as the land keeps me from crossing the cold river.

My blood has roots. My blood has life, eternal life on cursed ground.

This is no paradise or hell. This is my purgatory.

I’m currently reading the Buddenbrooks House also known as Buddenbrooks: The Decline of a Family by Thomas Mann and I feel it takes like forever. I mean I started this book somewhere in June and now it’s September and I’m not finished yet.

The book is neither very interesting nor very challenging but someway wonderful since every tiny detail is being explained and shown to the reader.

The story follows the merchant family Buddenbrooks over multiple generations (actually 4) through traditions of mediocrity and appearance family life.

In order to maintain the firm’s power and glory, all the decisions about intimate personal relationships are made within the family. Marrying a good merchant, taking as spouse the daughter of a Dutch millionaire or visiting and speaking to certain relatives, it’s all about the family’s prestige. This way it is hard for me to like one character since they change a lot during their lives but I’m fascinated by each of them.

The chapters stand very well alone and sometimes I have the impression of looking at very well elaborate painting from the 18th-19th century.

It’s a great book for anyone with an interest in great literature or in nineteenth-century German culture history.

I’m very passionate about the north European countries, mostly the land of a thousand lakes, Finland.

I find it invigorating going outside when the temperature is -20c (which kind of happens also in my country) but sometimes I think that the snow, the ice and the cold climate won’t do for me because I like to be warm and wear easy clothes. And then if I think again, I have sauna and vodka to help me go through the cold days.

Anyway, one of the best things around there, besides that fact that you can see the sun at midnight in the long summer days and then you can see only the dark sky for the whole winter days, are the finnish men.
I do not know what they have that I find so attractive and intriguing but I love every single one of them. Maybe it’s the charisma or they are just kind, relaxed and funny people. One thing I know for sure: they make so damn good lyrics and music.
Finnish rock bands always rocked my world.
From the amazing Him which offers me inspiration and shows me the dark darkside of love each time I’m having bad days to Nightwish which keeps me on dreaming of fairy tales, warriors and queens, from The Rasmus which kept my heart broken for a while to The 69 Eyes where my gothic side felt understood, passing by Apocalyptica, Sonata Arctica and Poets of the Fall, I have just discovered the End of You.

This time I’m not so into the lyrics but into the melodic lines. Rome (reminds me of London After Midnight's Kiss), Paper trails and Upside down are wonderful pieces suiting my soul for now.

What finnish band do you like best?

For a long time I had a simple wood jewelry box received as a gift from an old lady. Because it wasn’t in a good shape I decided to bring it to life again by customizing the exterior in my own way. I made use of some wire pattern used in masonry (I can’t find the word for this item) to make the design with black shoe polish, wood tattoos, felt and paper decoupages, Chinese medium and small coins and a black heart stud earring in the upper right corner. All that I need to do now is find some lac varnish to cover the entire box to protect it.

Now this box has my mark on it and I’m very proud of the result.

Hope you enjoy it too.

Besides the Choceur Milch Jumbo und Haselnuss another wonderful Choceur product is the Choceur Milch Jumbo und Cacao.

Like the Hazelnut bar, this is a waffle bar filled with milk cacao cream, entirely covered with strip of dark chocolate.

The waffles are very crispy and airy and when you bite them you can sense and taste the wonderful combination of waffle and dark chocolate, not to sweet. You can also find traces of hazelnuts, almond, peanuts or other type of nuts. The bars taste creamy and super delicious.

Because of the two crisp waffle layers, above and below, and the in between milk-cacao-cream, when you bite it the cream does not fall out.

This is my second favorite chocolate bar.

In the packaging there are 7 waffles individually packed which is ideal for a sweet snack.

Product name: Choceur milk jumbo und Cacao

Contents: 150 g ( 7 bars)

Ingredients: sugar, fat, butter dried milk, wheat flour, ground rabbit nuts (7,5%), full dried milk (6,5%), cocoa butter, glucose syrup, cocoa mass, butter pure fat (2,5%), wheat strength, lactose, emulsifier: Soya lecithin, crème powder, sodium carbonate, salt, Vanillin aroma.

Near value per 100g

I’m crazy about chocolate like everybody else so today I have the pleasure to introduce the Choceur Milch Jumbo und Haselnuss.

It can be described as a funny waffle bar filled with fine milk hazelnut cream, entirely covered in delicate milk chocolate. The crispy cookie, the chocolate and the filling just work together perfectly.

It smells like hazelnuts and on the tongue the first flavor you get is also a sweet hazelnut aroma. It dissolves very quickly on the tongue and leaves a soft sweet flavor .

In the packaging there are 7 waffles individually packed which is ideal for an in between snack.

All that I can say is that it tastes simply first class and when you take a bite the cream does not fall out at all. You have to taste it to convince yourself.

* I’m sorry for not posting also the entire packaging but I don’t have the box anymore.

My curled blond hair and sky blue eyes have never been trustworthy. My thoughts, my words, my stories, they aren’t all just mine.

Sometimes the shyness goes away, my hair turns way too darker, sometimes my smile just fades away and my blue eyes go lighter.

My soft pale skin and rosy cheeks have never caught attention. My dreams, my hopes, my wishes, they aren’t all just mine.

Sometimes the joy just disappears, my blooded lips just close, sometimes the raven night is better without the moon that glows.

My instincts and my secrets, they aren’t all just mine. The sadness, the discomfort, the cry, the pain that cuts are all her inspiration, her own gifts to myself.

The mistress in the mirror, the soul that wants revenge, is searching for a reason not to break down tonight.

The queen of melodrama, the gothic girl inside is searching for a reason to just stay hide tonight.

Hello to myself and to anyone else who’s reading this post.

After running a wordpress blog for 2 years and a couple of months, I decided to start blogging also on blogspot. I felt the need to start a new one in order to improve my English skills and to talk about my real life: things I like, things I hate, people I meet, places I go, music, literature, memories and all sorts of things.

My other blog, called La parfumerie d’Ayda, will be also active but only in my native language, Romanian, and maybe in French (as I tend to use sometimes in order not to forget my first foreign language) although some of the articles published here can be found over there too.

Mainly, La parfumerie is a kind of artistic blog, a place where I write literature (prose) in lyrics; I combine the two styles in some wonderful scents of life. Also, La parfumerie, is more about feelings, thoughts, wishes and less about the experiences, the events that made me feel that way. It's my bohemian alter ego speaking there.

Even now I’m not sure what I’m going to do with these blogs but I’ll figure it out anytime soon.

And if not, then I’m happy to say that I’m a dual person, I have a dark side and a bright one like everybody, and I know how to handle both.
